On your conference site, reviewers are people who register through a <strong>Call for Reviewers<\/strong>, are approved by a coordinator, choose the categories they&#8217;re qualified to assess, and then score the abstracts matched to them \u2014 all from the member dashboard. This article covers the coordinator&#8217;s side: opening the call, approving reviewers, and keeping the review round on track from <strong>Administration \u2192 Reviewer Management<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"the-reviewer-workflow-at-a-glance-0\">The reviewer workflow at a glance<\/h2>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>You open a <strong>Call for Reviewers<\/strong> and share the link.<\/li><li>Prospective reviewers <strong>register<\/strong>, choosing the categories they can review and giving their career stage.<\/li><li>They arrive in <strong>Reviewer Management<\/strong> as <strong>Pending<\/strong>, and you <strong>Acepte<\/strong> or <strong>Reject<\/strong> each one.<\/li><li>Accepted reviewers are <strong>matched to abstracts<\/strong> in the categories they chose.<\/li><li>They score their abstracts, and you <strong>track progress<\/strong> to the deadline.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"opening-a-call-for-reviewers-1\">Opening a call for reviewers<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Recruitment starts with your <strong>Call for Reviewers<\/strong> page. This explains what&#8217;s involved and links to the registration form. Share that link with your membership, past reviewers and committee \u2014 by email, in a newsletter, or from your conference site \u2014 so anyone willing to review can sign themselves up rather than being added by hand.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"how-reviewers-register-2\">How reviewers register<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Reviewers sign up through the <strong>Reviewer Registration<\/strong> form. As well as their name, organisation and contact details, they tell you:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Career stage<\/strong> \u2014 for example early-career, mid-career or senior, so you can balance experience across the panel.<\/li><li><strong>Category selections<\/strong> \u2014 the conference categories (your abstract topics) they&#8217;re qualified to review. This is what later matches them to the right submissions.<\/li><li><strong>Any review preferences<\/strong> your conference asks for, such as study type or population focus, to sharpen the match further.<\/li><\/ul>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once submitted, the reviewer appears in <strong>Reviewer Management<\/strong> with a status of <strong>Pending<\/strong>, ready for you to approve.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"approving-reviewers-in-reviewer-management-3\">Approving reviewers in Reviewer Management<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Go to <strong>Administration \u2192 Reviewer Management<\/strong>. On the right, the action buttons let you:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Acepte<\/strong> (\u2713) \u2014 approve the reviewer so they join the active panel and can start reviewing.<\/li><li><strong>Reject<\/strong> (\u2715) \u2014 decline the application.<\/li><li><strong>Remove<\/strong> (\ud83d\uddd1) \u2014 take the reviewer off the panel entirely.<\/li><\/ul>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Use the search and filter controls to work through a long list \u2014 for example, to show only <strong>Pending<\/strong> applications when you&#8217;re approving a new intake.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"how-abstracts-reach-reviewers-4\">How abstracts reach reviewers<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Each abstract is assessed by <strong>two reviewers<\/strong>. You allocate reviewers to abstracts from the <strong>Gesti\u00f3n de res\u00famenes<\/strong> screen, where every submission has a <strong>Reviewer 1<\/strong> y <strong>Reviewer 2<\/strong> slot. The reviewers whose <strong>category selections<\/strong> match an abstract&#8217;s topic are the natural choice, so you&#8217;re always placing work with people who understand it. Once allocated, an abstract appears in that reviewer&#8217;s <strong>My Reviews<\/strong> list. For the full detail of allocating reviewers and tracking scores, see the related article on <a href=\"\/es\/knowledge-base\/managing-abstract-submissions\/\">managing abstract submissions<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"tracking-review-progress-5\">Tracking review progress<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En <strong>Progress<\/strong> column shows how far each reviewer has got \u2014 for example <em>6 \/ 9<\/em> means six of their nine matched abstracts are scored \u2014 with a bar so you can spot at a glance who&#8217;s up to date and who&#8217;s fallen behind. As the deadline nears, this is where you see who still has reviews outstanding so you can follow up before the round closes.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"reviewers-and-coordinators-6\">Reviewers and coordinators<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are two levels of access. <strong>Reviewers<\/strong> score the abstracts matched to them from their <strong>My Reviews<\/strong> area. <strong>Abstract coordinators<\/strong> have the wider view \u2014 the Reviewer Management and Abstract Management screens \u2014 where they approve reviewers, oversee the panel and manage the round. Promote a trusted committee member to coordinator when you want to share the administrative load.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"what-reviewers-see-7\">What reviewers see<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once approved, a reviewer works entirely from <strong>My Reviews<\/strong>, where their matched abstracts are listed and they open each one to score and comment against your criteria.
